In August 1945, the atomic bomb in Nagasaki is estimated to have killed approximately 70,000
people. Nearly all living things annihilated, with a miraculous exception of a few burnt kaki
trees. Fifty years later, 1993, Dr.Ebinuma, a tree doctor residing in Nagasaki,
diagnosed and cured the half keloidal and weakened "bombed kaki tree" and suceeded in
growing a seedling of the Kaki Tree. He started his activity to hand the seedlings over to
children for them to grow it as symbol of peace. In 1995 when Tatsuo Miyajima became aware of the "Bombed Kaki Tree Jr.Seedling" he was very touched and started the art project,
"Revive Time/Kaki Tree Project" with a group of people who sympathize with the intention.
